New Section Officers for 2009-2010
Something that the Northwest Section Board has been pressing for is new blood with new ideas to get involved with the Executive Committee fuctions: events like Behind the Mask, arranging speaking seminars by top industry professionals, and member outreach such as this website. The long range goal is to find and train eventual replacements for those currently serving officer positions so that the section continues to grow and thrive.
That goal is now coming within sight as the Northwest Section is pleased to welcome in two new officers for the 2009-2010 year: Jay Gerdin and Bob Renner.
Jay Gerdin is an instructor at Anoka Technical College and a CWI. Jay will become the new Vice-Chair replacing Bob Sands, placing Jay in line to eventually replace Todd Bridigum as the Chair.
Bob Renner is a welder at Valleyfair, constructing and upgrading the metal structure of the rides. He will replace Mace Harris as Secretary, freeing Mace to better serve as District Director.
Please welcome both therse gentlemen as they assume their new duties in June!
I never agreed to chair the section next year so don’t assume that I will. I will know more about my schedule for the up coming year in a few weeks. I am still commited to another board for our home owners association.
